New Role as a SL in Manufacturing Engineering at Coventry University

It gives me great pleasure to be back at Coventry University to take up a new role as a senior lecturer in Manufacturing engineering. My journey in academia begun from Coventry University as an engineering student in 2001. I also spent sometime during my placement year as a research engineer – based at Coventry University within the Advanced Joining Centre on a European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) projects called the LAMP (Laser Aided Materials Processing) project, where I gained broad range of experimental and theoretical skills in laser processing to help assist SME's in the West Midlands area to optimize their laser processes and enhance productivity and quality. I later completed both BEng and MSc by research degrees at Coventry and ten years later, I eventually found myself lecturing at the same University where I spent a lot of time as a student. Exciting and a long road ahead! However, I am looking forward to things especially on the research front with state-of-the-art facilities and full support for research at Coventry Uni - I envisage fruitful times ahead.
