This is a prestigious programme developed with the University of Birmingham who has successfully trained entrepreneurial academic/research staff across all specialisms in the last 15 years.

The Medici Enterprise program runs at for a period of 4 months with two days training course every month held at the University of Birmingham. I had applied through a competative bidding process to get on it. I was one of the 2 applicants selected locally from 100 applicants.

The course covers the following topics:

- Networking for Success - Introduction to Entrepreneurship - Value Proposition and Business Models - Introduction to IP - Commercial Strategy - Commercial Strategy - Sales and Selling Skills - Building a Team - Market Research and Identifying USP - Market Research and Identifying USP - Introduction to Finance - Investment Readiness - Business Planning and Raising Finance

- Exploitation Pitch

Attendance and participation at this event has already helped me in my path towards entrepreneurship and will aid in commercialising my research.

I look forward to attending the rest of the course in February, March and April 2020, meeting new people and taking valuable lessons to continue developing my technology.
